How it works

1. Create an account and a site

Sign up free, then add a site for the office or customer you are looking after.

2. Install the collector

Run the Windows installer, or one command on Linux, at that site and use your token. It finds your devices and reports them. Outbound connections only, nothing to open on the firewall.

3. Pick your devices

Tick the 5 devices you want to monitor, add your SNMP details, and you have live status, traffic charts and alerts.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. It includes 1 collector and up to 5 monitored devices. If you need more, the paid plans start at $24.99 a month, and they start with a 30-day free trial.

Do I need to run my own server?

No. NetDraw runs the monitoring service for you. You install one small program, the collector, on a Windows PC or a Linux machine at your site. It finds your devices and sends the results to NetDraw over an outbound connection, so nothing needs opening on your firewall.

Which devices can it monitor?

Anything that answers SNMP v1, v2c or v3, such as switches, routers, firewalls, access points, servers and printers. Devices that only answer ping are listed and can be monitored for up and down.

What happens when I reach 5 devices?

The collector keeps finding every device on your network, and you choose which 5 to monitor. On the free plan you can only see the devices you have picked. You can swap them, up to 3 changes a day, or upgrade to see and monitor more.

Can I run the collector on Linux?

Yes. On a 64-bit Linux machine with systemd (Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL, Fedora and similar) you run a single command from your site page. It installs the collector as a service that starts at boot. On Windows you run the installer instead.

Is my data safe?

The collector only makes outbound connections. SNMP credentials you save are encrypted before they are stored and are only sent to your own collector.
